Routing for VPN with Road warrior

Postby rbaal » Nov 04 03 1:35 pm

I understand and have working at network of 3 VPN sites with static routes to point all the tarffic in the correct direction. However how do you handle "road warriors" where their IP address is dynamic?. They can connect in OK but there is no route back to them from the servers in the network. I can't use default route as that needs to point to some existing routers? Is there some way around this problem?

Thanks

the best way around this one is the RIP client... you can run it on any Windows machine, then that machine will automatically create all the routes needed to communicate with other nodes etc on the VPN.

Or if you can enable RIPv2 listening on the main gateway then that should have the same effect for the whole LAN.
