Can't create certificate.

I am trying to activate the VPN portion of WinGate and when i try to create a certificate GateKeeper tells me "There was a problem generating the hosted VPN certificate."

i am on an nt4 sp6 machine.

can you turn all logging on on the VPN, and see what ends up in the VPN log file when this happens?

i turned on the logging for debug and did the process. the VPN log says the certificate was created. but it is missing the fingerprint.

earlier today i reinstalled wingate. when i started gatekeeper there was a message that the VPN license had expired. when i look at the licensing the license looks fine.

i had called wingate support and they said to post here. i just called them back with the new developments and they said to uninstall wingate and then reinstall it. i will try that in the morning.

OK, can yuou email me the licence you have for VPN, and we can check if it is valid.

Did you have a trial VPN licence at one stage? It may have expired and be causing some other problem.

thanks for your help so far.

i reloaded wingate, entered the licenses, still no success!

i can't seem to find you e-mail address and i don't think we want the license key advertised.
