using two network card

Postby azizercan » Sep 13 05 12:47 am

Hi.

I'm trying to prepare a system which can connect to internet from one ethernet interface and connect to local network from other network card.

here is the scenario.

Server Side--------
Ethernet One:
IP: 10.0.0.5
Gatway: 10.0.0.2

Ethernet Two:
IP:192.168.0.5
Gateway: No gateway

Client side----------
Ip:10.1.1.5
Gateway:10.1.1.2

Problem:
I can connect to server. There is no problem. I can even see the local users on the ethernet two side. But only the 10.0.0.0 IP block is accessable. I mean I can connect a server which stays in the Ethernet one sde. But I can not connect to servers staying on the ethernet two side.

Please help me.

Hi,

Can you make sure that the network cards on the server are set correctly for their usage on the Network tab in GateKeeper? The Ethernet One card should be external and the Ethernet Two card should be internal.

If you need to change them just double click the adapter and a properties window will open, change it from auto-detect to the appropriate setting.
