ip camera

Postby john kingston » Nov 19 05 8:27 pm

Hi - i need some help setting up an ip camera behind the wingate firewall. The vpn is functioning fine.
I have tried using port security to redirect ports 80 and 8080 to the camera.
The wingate server is 192.168.0.3, and the camera 192.168.0.222. When 192.168.0.3 is entered on the remote client it only displays a page titled 'under construction' and that the web server does not have a valid default page.
I can access the camera by redirecting port 80 on the router to the camera.
The ip video server is an aviosys 9100.
Am I missing something? Would it be an unacceptable risk to let the router redirect to the camera and use the camera's security?

regards,

John

VPN traffic is not redirectable - it is delivered to where it was sent to.

Theoretically you can create a TCP mapping in WIngate and make it connect to the desired destination/port number.
