SQL record deadlocked

Hi All,

I have a problem with 2 users accessing a MS SQL 2000 database through Wingate VPN.

Approx. 1 out of 10 records that are added to a table stay locked. This only occurs with records that are added by the remote users.

Has this anything to do with the MTU value? If so, should I change the MTU of the internet router and/or the client PC in the remote office?

More, in the VPN log I found the following entry:
"04/26/06 12:02 VPN Debug: Incomplete receive of encrypted data"

However, I don't see a match between the time logged in the logfile and the time an inserted record stays locked.

Has someone a clue?

This message is just for debugging purposes and it is only for control channel - the MTU value might help provided this locking happens because of the data receiving problem - try reducing MTU by 100 bytes and see if it makes a difference.
