Scheduler doesn't work

Postby Fabien » Sep 24 06 11:50 pm

Hi,

I am using Wingate VPN v2.1.0, it seems to be the solution we are looking for, however, I encounter problems as using scheduler.
I created a cmd batch file to map remote network share on a Windows XP machine.
When a start manually the cmd file, it works perfectly, with the scheduler nothing happen, I use ExecuteCommandLine option, even if I indicate notepad.exe, the application never starts.

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

the WinGate VPN service is running as a service, in the LocalSystem account, and normally is set to "not interact with the desktop".

If you run task manager, you should still see the applications being created, but you won't see the window, because it's not in the same desktop as the one you are logged into.

You can configure the service to run with interaction with the desktop enabled.

But be aware that the CMD script that executes will be in the same account that the WinGate.exe service is running in, and this may not have credentials to map a share, and in any case will only map it in the context of the LocalSystem account.

Your best bet may be to run the WinGate service in another account
