VPN causes Internet connection failure

Hi,

My client has installed Wingate VPN onto his Windows XP pro PC. Consequently, after reboot, on attempting an internet connection the PC crashes, rebooting itself.

The ADSL internet connection previously worked (he downloaded the Wingate VPN ok).

His PC also ran the ZoneAlarm firewall.

The machine crashed on attempted connection even when Wingate VPN was 'STOPPED' (and ZoneAlarm was disabled).

Only by uninstalling Wingate VPN could his internet connection be established.

ZoneAlarm can interfere with Wingate driver - even if ZA is stopped, the driver of it is loaded.
