Puhhhh.... I hope I didnt forget anything..
The local network is a workgroup with the same name and I also had tryed to joined the Local PC´s into the NT Domain.

If I dial in over the RAS NT Service I can use the Lan 100 %.
If I use VPN 1.2.2 than something strange is happen.

Here my procedure.

- I can ping all Pc´s in the Lan

- I have full Shared Folder access to all PC´s inside the Lan, but not to .254 and .116

If I try mapping to .254 and .116 than I got a prompt to enter Username/Password and after that , the drive is correct mapped, but I can´t access this folders. Under DOS I got after a long time the message, no files and under Explorer I see the Error message after 2 minutes that the Networkname is not available ( Mapping over Name or IP ) or something like the Remote Procedure Call was failed.

- I can connect without problems to .254 ICQ Server with both direction Chat to someone in the Lan - I can also send files to the person
- I have a working access to .185 Intranet Webserver
- I can remote control over VNC to many Pc´s but not to .254 and .116 I am getting after the login password prompt a black VNC Screen.
- I can fully remote control over VNC from the Internet to .116
- I can´t access the other Networks on the Cisco Router also if I add the Gateway to .190

I read here in the forum that I should add .116 Gateway on the NT Server but after that, all Clients which want connect to the ICQ Server are trying a connect to .116 which doesnt work. I read that a connect from a NAT Network makes problems if there is a using of Netbios over TCP.

But guess what, ago 2 days all works fine but now I have the problems above.

Any hints ? Sorry about my bad english, it´s not my human language.
Puhhhh I can´t understand what is going wrong here but all what I knew, that it works before.

Greetings Klaus

Hi,

I just installed Wingate Deerfield VPN 1.0.6 and guess what ? All is running fine....no problems with VNC and Shared Folders ?!?

The only difference I see is, that I have now under the GateKeeper 2 Active Tunnels instead of 1 before.

Bye

Hi

this was a known issue with VPN version 1.2.1 where basically name resolution was broken unless you had the UDP relay configuration set to also relay ports 67 and 68 (DHCP ports).

We fixed this with the release of 1.2.2 last week.

if 1.0.6 works for you then that's good too.

PS, it used to be distributed by Deerfield, but we always were the creators of it.
