Wingate VPN conflict with Hauppauge Digital TV Card

Postby andrewdav » Feb 02 04 4:34 am

Hi. I have recently successfully set up a VPN using Wingate. However, when I try loading my DVB TV software my machine resets, but this only happens when the VPN is running. If i stop the wingate VPN engine, i can view TV no probs.

Now about the TV adapter, it is a digital tv adapter so it appears in my system as a network card with a 192.168.44.21 ip address. This shows up in wingate as a recognised network adapter so I am assuming wingate is causing some access denial to the adapter.

Any ideas?

This sounds like a driver conflict. The reset is most likely in the place of a BSOD. If you would like to try a new beta driver to see if this fixes your problem you can email me (neil @ qbik), and i will send it out to you.
