Visnetic Antivirus 4.4.2.0 not updating

Hi,

got some prob with Visnetic Antivir 4.4.2.0 running with WinGate 5.07.
Any update causes "Update prozess failed".

Update Adresses are:

http://downloads1.kaspersky-labs.com/updates/

As this computer is the proxy it has direct Internet connection which shouldn´t be the problem.

Any hint?

... no not upgrading .. thanks ....
The system is running stable as hell ... not like my other Wingates that crash in 2 or 3 week periods ...

Hi Lars,

Can you verify if this happens with the WinGate Engine stopped ? As it is running on your gateway, it should be connecting out normally.

I'm not 100% familiar with the VisNetic Update Scheduler, but if it is using ftp to download the files it could be possible that the data channel is being blocked by the WinGate firewall. You can check if this is the case by verifying your firewall info as you initiate the update.

Short of that, I'd recommend talking to Deerfield to see if there are any logging / other options you can turn on for VisNetic AntiVirus's updater.

I have the same problem on different versions (wingate 5.0.6 visnetic 4.3.0.2) I activated the reporting, but this one just shows: communication failed. The urgent downloads however do work
