License Update problem

Postby zent » Jul 29 04 2:26 pm

We are running Wingate 5.2.3 with PureSight on XP machine. Recently when we upgrade our PureSight license, we would also like to install the Kaspersky antivirus for Wingate. We have obtain all the license key and we have downloaded the Kaspersky antivirus from the web.

First, we install the Kaspersky antivirus as the trial version on the machine. Later when we try to change the license key and click on the Update button, an msg prompt:

Failed checksum check
There is a problem updating to the entered license. Do you want to revert to the current active license?

Could you pls advise us how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance

A failed checksum error happens when the key cannot be decrypted properly. The suggestions might seem fairly obvious, apologies for that.

Ensure that you have entered the license key correctly. You must use the Licensee and Key that was issued to you at the time you purchased the license.

Be aware that it O can look a lot like 0 - the easiest way is to copy and paste it from the email.

Also, there has been some confusion in the past with the different flavours of AV plugins available. Be sure that you are entering a license for the Kaspersky AntiVirus Plugin for WinGate - other license keys will not work for this module.
