KAV not blocking virus test file when going through ssl

I just upgraded to Wingate 6.1 and KAV 2 and went to
http://www.eicar.org
to test KAV and make sure is working.
It blocked all the links they have for standard protocol http but KAV did not block any of the links they have for secure, SSL enabled protocol (https). Is there any way to fix this?

Hi

We can't scan SSL connections, since the data is encrypted. We can't break into the connection either, since this would then break the encryption - SSL is designed to stop 'man-in-the-middle" attacks as a security feature.
