FALSE POSITIVE for new Wingate and Kaspersky downloads... just release out of Quarantine... and install...
I'm trying to use the WinGate PC (DELL WinXP Pro) to do a little web browsing...
Kaspersky Keeps popping up a warning:
"Kaspersky AntiVirus 2.0 for WinGate - http://www.wingate.com"
which blocks the web browser content from displaying.
Example of URLs that are blocked:
http://froogle.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi
http://news.google.com/nwshp?hl=en&gl=us
http://health.msn.com/menshealth/index.aspx
This is now happening after Updated from Wingate 6.0 to 6.1.1_1077 and
Updating the Kaspersky AntiVirus to 2.0
Is this condition because the Kaspersky scanner has identified:
1) Infected
2) Suspicious
3) Corrupt
4) All of the above content?
Or is there a bug in the KAV scanning engine ?
If I click refresh several times or come back to the URL it might display... usually not. The only solution is to place the URL in the Kaspersky Overrides list. - what a pain... almost 1 in ten URLs are being blocked bu KAV...
How best to resolve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Doug
