Morning

I have been trying for ages to update my Kaspersky defs. Last update succeeded on 25th April 2016.

Any ideas guys ?

Engine Ver : 8.3.2.4
DB Sig : 7665266

Hi

that error code means "the media is write protected"

Is the folder it's trying to update to read only or something?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have updated the permissions on the wingate directories. Still getting the error.

Any other areas you think could cause a problem ?

Hi,

Are you able to save anything into the \WinGate\Packages\Kaspersky AV folder?

Can you update to the latest version of WinGate and KAV and see if that helps?

Again sorry for long delay.

I managed to fix this. It was simply the fact that the External NIC on the wingate server had an incorrect DNS server.

Corrected DNS and it kicked back into life.
