Postby ruggerig » Aug 25 06 2:10 am

The license for Kaspersky AntiVirus for WinGate has expired or is invalid. Kaspersky AntiVirus for WinGate functionality will not be available.
It's very strange, because we have the license file valid for 1 ears.
we have try to remove and re-insert the license key, but the problem still.
I need urgent help.

Can you download this file: http://www.wingate.com/downloads/015528CD.key

Then save it to:
C:\Program Files\WinGate\Plugins\Kaspersky AntiVirus

And then restart the WinGate engine?

Hi

Can you delete the other .key files in there as well - the old ones?

Regards

#$%@ KAV license file!!!

Postby Billbo » Sep 30 06 7:35 pm

Oh just great! Now I've got the same problem, too. Didn't even notice it for a few weeks. What caused this??? Nevertheless, I downloaded the key file as this thread has directed and deleted the old keys out of the directory. No good, still won't work. What am I supposed to to do now? My license file is good through November '06 and I need it fixed now.

It would have been nice for some blatant warning from WinGate about the KAV license dicking up other then an obscure entry in the System log. Something like when you log into GateKeeper, a popup happening with a warning. With over a hundred users and a heavily loaded mail feed, the System log is not too easy to constantly monitor. C'mon, you guys should come up with something better...

Am running WinGate 6.04 with KAV & PureSight plug-ins on a Windows 2000 server.

#$%@ KAV license file!!!

Postby Billbo » Oct 01 06 6:10 am

After struggling with this darn problem for a few hours, I've finally got it fixed. I downloaded the key file to C:\Program Files\WinGate\Plugins\Kaspersky AntiVirus, removed all other .key files in that directory, stopped WinGate, manually updated KAV, and then restarted WinGate. Yeah!

KAV License

Postby Billbo » Nov 21 06 4:46 am

KAV is back down again. We just renewed our KAV license but the new license number will not work. Can we get some help on this? Right now our heavily used SMTP feed is unprotected. Thanks.

hi

The correct link is

http://www.wingate.com/downloads/015528CD.key

If ever in doubt, just follow our download links under Kaspersky AntiVirus.

We apologise for this, we've tried many times to get Kaspersky Labs to relax their licensing requirements so that we'd only need one, but they won't do it.

Hi Adrien, doesn't the update process install this key, if not I am going to have to travel all over the place to install this software which I assumed was 'self managed' ages ago.
