VisNetic AV Plugin issues

Postby ChrisH » Sep 25 03 4:45 am

Hello,

There seems to be a number of issues with the AV plugin as it relates to software updates and some WWW policies - see this thread at Deerfield, http://webboard.deerfield.com/read?16848,3 and the reply from Deerfield was this, http://webboard.deerfield.com/read?17336,3 Essentially, they threw the ball into your court and I am wondering if the next release of WinGate will solve some of these probs.?TIA

Hi, We are releaseing an updated AntiVirus very shortly. We discovered various minir problems, and we now ara releasing it under our own Brand, not the visnetic brand.

Keep an eye on the site and we wil lpost as soon as we release the new and improved AV.

Thanks

Tim,

Glad to hear that a new version is coming out. Is the new version going to accept Visnetic license or do we have to get a new one? - I just updated mine last month.

I would like to put in a feature request with the AV plug-in. I would like to be able to schedule AV scans of various client machines and WG server using the plug-in. I know I can do it manually, but why? Can the built in WG Scheduler include an Action that launches the AV plug-in and gives it a directory to scan? Don't know about anybody else, but I know I would use it if it was there!
