Data file update could not be completed

Dec 16 03 11:29 pm

Good morning

Wingate 5.2.2 + Antivirus plugin 1.2.2: I often receive the system message stating that the (data file) update (scheduled in scheduling service) could not be completed.

There should not be any problems with that. Is this a continuous problem or does it happen only occasionally ? If it is easily reproducible, would you be able to run a debug DLL for me temporarily, please ? That will give us an indication of where the problem lies.

If the problem occurs erratically, is there a specific set of circumstances that causes it ?

Secondly, when it fails to update through that mechanism, can you still run the external updater and will that complete normally ?

Pascal,

I face the same KAV update problem as Nicola.

Wingate: V5.2.2
KAV plugin: V1.2.2
OS: Windows 2000 Server with SP4

At least on our server here it is a continuous problem. The server runs 7x24h. The update problem re-occurs after 3 or 4 days uptime of the Wingate Service. Restarting the Wingate Service recovers the KAV plugin update.

I'm not shure, but I believe to remember, that the Wingate Process uses a lot of memory (+200MB), when the update problem occurs.

Do you have any idea yet?

Do you see this problem when you are running the manual update from START -> Programs -> WinGate -> Plugins -> Kaspersky AntiVirus ?

Or is it only from within WinGate ?
