I just realized that our Puresight license expired recently. I would like to renew, but want to verify what I need. Is the pricing per individual user, not Wingate server? I have a 25 user Wingate license, so I assume I need to renew for a 25 user Puresight license. Also, I am renewing from the free year, is there a special procedure in that case? Thanks.

Hi,

We do recommend that your PureSight license has the same number of users as your WinGate license. If you had a smaller license then you would find that some users would not be subject to the scans.

I'm not too sure what you mean about the free year. If you go to our purchase page and choose upgrade an existing license you can enter your current license and see if you are eligible for a rebate. https://commerce.qbik.com/purchase.php

We recently completed our first year of using Wingate and my understanding was the PureSight plugin was a courtesy for the first year- sort of a trial. We just renewed our Wingate license but I quess I need to update the Puresight separately?

I ordered the updated license, and now have a new license number--do I just delete the old one and add the new license number for PureSight?

Which version of WinGate are you running? If it is a 6.x version (Preferably 6.0.4) you can use the activation client to manage the license for you. (Simply add it like you would add any other license) If you are using a 5.x version of WinGate this is done through the license manager in GateKeeper.

Sorry, I do not mean to be thick--my question is about the license manager in 6.0.4.
There is already a license there, but it is listed as expired. I received a new license number with my subscription renewal that is different. Do I delete the expired one and add a new one or is there a way to just update it.

Add the one you have just received. Once that is active and running you can remove the expired one.

Thanks, it actually just updated when I put in the new license, no meed to delete the expired one. I just wanted to make sure before I clicked as license issues on so many products have caused me headaches in the past.

Glad it's all good now. I hear what you're saying with licensing problems. In part that's what the activation / management system helps us to fix - it makes it a lot easier to manage and control your own licenses. (Me thinks)
