Puresight troubleshooting

Dec 06 03 1:21 pm

I have Wingate 5.1, and have just installed Puresight 1.1. The licenses are correct but I cannot get Puresight to block anything.

When I installed I allowed the ENS supoort which is waht I am using and testing on the PC that has wingate and the internet connection

Any suggestions ?

I can't seem to find any log files for Puresight

TIA

David

For puresight to scan your traffic, you need funnel everything through the WWW proxy. So to continue using NAT, and get content filtering, you need to turn on Transparent Redirection under the Sessions tab of the WWW proxy properties. This means that when you go to a web site the activity screen in gatekeeper should show a yellow web icon and the url, rather than a blue and purple icon and an ip. The addtional benifits of this are caching and a centralised place for policies that users cannot avoid.
