Help with Wingate 7 + ENS

Postby intell » Oct 11 11 7:29 am

I've installed Wingate 7 with 2 NIC's, one internal another external. ENS was working fine (I need it for transparent proxy on port 80).

But now I'm using only one Internal adapter (ip 10.3.150.1 / gateway 10.3.150.9). And now ENS doesn't work anymore. As soon as I enable it, all the traffic from clients are down. If I disable NAT on ENS, everything works again - but all the traffic is going "outside" wingate. Policies and everything else doesn't applies.

I know that kind of setup works: only one internal adapter + ENS. I've used it long time ago with wingate 6.2. What im' doing wrong now on 7.0?

ps: my internal adapter is marked manually as "internal"

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

NAT with single NIC should work the same with WinGate 7 as it did with WinGate 6, and in fact the ENS driver in WinGate 7 is basically the same one as for WinGate 6.6.4.

I was about to say check adapter usage, but if it's marked as internal, then that's correct.

Can you even ping the WinGate computer?

What OS is this on? It's possible you have an issue with the windows firewall?

Windows 2008 R2 SP1.

Yes, I can ping wingate machine. Firewalls both of wingate and windows are off.

I've installed and uninstalled Wingate 7 more than 1 time, with no luck.

If you check the logs for WinGate NAT do you see anything in there about packets blocked?

You can try the usage logs, or enable debug logging for diagnostics on the WinGate NAT log source.
