Memory Leak on Wingate 7 RC1

Postby intell » Nov 11 11 5:36 am

I was using Wingate 7 from some time, the july version. No major problems so far.

But since I've installed the new RC1, wingate starting eating all the memory, non-stop. After some time it's taking 1gb (and more). Now I have to restart the service from time to time.

Any help?

Hi

there's a known issue in build 3317 (RC1) that leaks memory and handles. If you have any manual classification rules that use a data list, then you will see this leak. We've fixed it, and actually we plan to release GA this coming tuesday.

Do you have such a manual classification rule?

I have more than one of that kind, on web request policy.

Waiting for the fix; I had to schedule a manual wingate restart each 2 hours...

if you don't want to wait, send us an email to support@wingate.com and I can send you a download link.

Hi

we released WinGate 7 yesterday, which fixes this issue. Check in your WinGate update panel to initiate the update process.
