hi all

Is wingate 7 capture outgoing mail attachment. i want to monitor all outgoing mail attachments.
i have tried wingate capture utility and i could not get any result. i had perform following steps.

1 i made a .cap file .

and click start button.

But this is not working is there anything i am doing wrong .

Please let me know steps

try setting instead the destination port.

hi Adrien

i have tried that also but nothing is working i have change port to 80 and same result please let me know how to make cap file for packet capturing might i doing mistake in making cap file . please tell me procedure and where is that logs saved and how to manage that. if its stored to cap file then how to open, can i open that cap file to notepad ? .

Hi

I think the issue is you specified source and destination addresses. That means any traffic between computers on the 10.2.0.X subnet, and since these computers are on the same subnet, their traffic won't go through WinGate.

You should remove dest IP and mask settings (set to all 0).

The file should be placed in the location indicated in the Capture File setting (D:\helpdesk\Packet\test.cap)

You will need to use something like wireshark or other cap compatible software to read it.
