Windows update problem

Postby Dr Krall » Sep 10 04 8:08 pm

Lastest wingate. Wingate behind NAT firewall

NTLM Authentication against 2003 Server with AD.

Can't get windows update to work from Windows XP anymore.
If i give the XP machine the same rights as wingate and point it directly to the firewall it works.

I get no notifications form wingate telling it is blocking something.

The error is: 0x80072F76

Sometimes i also get 0x80072EE2

Perhaps the windows update is using more of .net and this won't work with wingate ?

Hi,

Are you running Kaspersky AV for WinGate? We have seen this problem before when drip feeding is not turned on for large files. You can turn this on in the plug-ins page on the different proxies.

Regards,

Matt

Hello,

It works again !

Why ?

I suspect it had to do with universal groups in the AD. I now use global groups instead.

But it could something else as well.

I dont' use the Kaspersky AV for wingate.
