Maximum Network Traffic from a certain Internal Network IP

Postby anit_bbsr » Sep 22 04 4:29 am

I am using Wingate 5 on Windows 98 SE.

After installing the Trial Version, It is up and running smoothly.

When I saw in Activity window in Gatekeeper, I found Huge traffic from a certain Internal Network PC. after some time, gate keeper went Offline.
System Warning for Low resources.

I shut down that particular System having that Particular IP. Even then the same problem happens.

I am using Cable MODEM.

I need Solution.

I saw like NAT <Internal IP Address>:Port-UDP <External IP address>:137
----do----
....
.....
....
....
the above type sequence going on and it covers whole activity pan.

above sequence is continuing with as many as different incremental port address..

I'd say that machine has some pest trying to reach / infect other internet users. Here is one slant on the problem: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/av ... worms.html
