Viruses are coming!

Postby Altshuler » Oct 27 04 6:48 am

Hi
I have downloaded today Wingate 6.0.3 and Kaspersky plugin
I have installed both wingate and antivirus plugin
I have updated visuses signatures succesfully.
Antivirus plugin active for all possible servises.
I use NAT clients and transparent redirection, so antivirus protection for http traffic must work.

But it doesn't

On client I use Kaspersky antivirus locally
and it catchs some viruses during web serfing
I used some known bed place for testing.
The names are:
Exploit.Html.Mht
Backkdoor.agent.ah
and others

What can you say about?

Which options do you have set for the plugin? (Second page, options) Can you point me to the sample pages you use for your testing or is it a private web-server?

<grins> PureSight might stop me seeing that. I'll have a test tomorrow when I'm back in the office and will get back to you with results as soon as possible.

I haven't had any joy. Those entries (If backdoor.agent.ah is "TrojanDownloader.Win32.Agent.ah") are on the virus list from the database update for around 20th October.

Are you 100% sure that the client is going through the proxy? (Does it show that way on GateKeeper?)

If you connect in using the proxy, does that make a difference to what is reported?
