connection refused by host

Postby harryboer » Dec 21 04 10:02 pm

I've installed the trial version to see if this program will work for us. I installed on the company gateway pc and on my home pc, both have static IP. The company computer is behind a modem/router with NAT.
I configured both computers to Host and join. I can set up a tunnel from company to home and make both networks available. But when I try to connect from my home computer to the company computer I get "connection refused by Host". I'm not sure what is the problem I guess it has something to do with router/ NAT? any ideas?
When I get this solved we might buy the package...

Hi,

Have you checked if the office's modem/router with NAT forwards port 809 TCP and port 809 UDP to the VPN Server machine? It might be necessary to set that up. (And it might be known under a variety of different names such as Virtual Servers / Port Forwarding / Servers / etc.)
