Firewall not confugurable in 6.0.4

Postby olaf.krause » Apr 06 05 8:43 am

I just upgrade from Std to pro version to setup a DMZ interface. After that I tried to create some port rules to allow Port 123 and 53 UDP for DMZ. But every time I reopen the settingsdialog the only checkbox is internet to wingate of instead DMZ to wingate. Also the firewall status is listing these ports as blocked.

This should be clarified, cause I cannot use wingate as I expected. thx

Hi

That's the default option, unless you choose another range of port settings before you open that dialog (i.e. Lan to Internet, or Internet to DMZ)

Of course I set the filters (comboboxes at the top) to DMZ and UDP. But the checkbox is still INternet not DMZ.

The registry shows the entries under key 8 and 9 which seems to be correct...

Olaf, at the moment it looks like a UI issue. The settings appear to be correct in the registry, it is only upon re-entry into the dialog (And only for the DMZ to WinGate PC setting) that the tick appears to go in the wrong place.

At the moment, operationally it will be fine, you will just need to remember to shift that tick every-time you go into that dialog when you edit the settings as a temporary workaround until we release the next version.

OK seems also to be a gui problem, but why do I get the block port range messages?
What I could imagine is that the blocked port is display if the connection to the internet is not established (no NAT possible), since sometimes it seems to work.
