Hello Adrien or Pascal

I have installed the latest version of Wingate Pro and VPN and cannot browsw my network anymore

VPN connects O.K. - but every computer are shown as unaccessible. The log says that their is an incomplete encryption.

It was working so well in 2.03 - what may have changed?

Just a note for everybody, because we get a lot of queries / comments about that.

That log message is a "debug" message. It is marked as such as well. That is not an error, it simply indicates that when the socket data-available notification was received there was insufficient data to satisfy the requirements for decryption. On the next socket data-available notification that would have been fulfilled and the data read successfully.

So, it's not an error - just a debug message for us to track what is happening.

I have a similar prblem to the one described here. I recently installed wingate VPN. I can connect ok but all of the network is shown not accessable except the server but I can't open or explore that either.

Hi,

First of all, make sure that your upstream fgateway/firewall does allow UDP traffic through your VPN port. I can send you the new driver if you drop me a line with your OS version.

The Windows 2k-version you've send me in may 2005 solved all my problems. I've upgrade the software to Windows XP. Hence, would you please send me an XP-version?

Inaccesable drives

Hi I seem to have the same problem, but with the exception of, that I can browse the participant PC's (running RIP2). But the VPN server is inacesseable.

I've installed wingate last week, so do I need the new driver as well.. ??

Server installed on windows XP pro
Klient installed on WIN XP pro

Dec 06 05 10:46 am

No, shouldn't need the new driver. Can you ping the VPN Server itself? If you can - do you have anything shared on the server?

It was NIS

Dec 06 05 10:31 pm

sorry for the disturbance in the force, it was only NIS wich blocked the communication, all is actually fine and well now...

Dec 06 05 11:24 pm

:))) Thanks for the information!
