Postby JORGEMAL » Jun 21 05 12:20 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to control Internet bandwidth among the users in the network?

Best regards,

Hi Jorge,

If you have a version 6 professional or enterprise license (or a trial license) then you can enable bandwidth control.

Bandwidth Control allows you to create bandwidth rules and then create restrictions for the rules.

For example you can create a rule to control all traffic from your LAN on port 80 between the hours of 12 and 1 pm, and then limit it to 50% of the available bandwidth.

Thanks for your reply.
What if I want to restrict banwidth to certain users?

Thank you,

At this time there is no way to control bandwidth per user, only per machine based on IP address.

I appreciate your reply. Bandwidth control based on IP address is enough for what I need.

Thank you,
