Is internet sharing perfectly "LEGAL"? Will this not constitute theft of service from an ISP?

Well, there is no simple answer - it all depends on the ISP. However, I have yet to met any ISP in the recent 5 years that applied "no" stance to Internet sharing. If you are in doubt, consult your ISP contract.
