After authentication , Ip adress is assumed , nated adress

Postby wismer » Nov 17 05 11:45 pm

Hello,

i 'm using wingate behind a firewall, so wingate only receive connection from the firewall source adress 10.228.208.1 (for example)

The first user connect to the proxy and is able to authenticate but then the firewall ip adress is assumed, and no more authentication is prompted to another user and all users can connect through wingate proxy server.

is there a way to assumed users only by their authentication and not with IP adress ??

thanks
ps: i 've look for the info in the 17 first forum pages but did not find .

Are you using a WinGate trial license? There is an option in the "Users" tab which is usually reserved for the Enterprise License; the trial license is an enterprise license. The option is called "Multi User Machines", and it is used mainly for authenticating users from a Terminal Server; but should work in your case too.

There is a search link on this forum; the key to a good result is to select the radio button "Search for all terms" underneath where you place in the search words.
