Hi,

Are you NATing through WinGate? You'll need to be making a NAT connection if the nod32 doesn't do the updates through port 80.

WinGate won't block any outgoing connections by default, do you see any hits on the firewall in GateKeeper?

A NAT connection is made when you have the IP address of the WinGate server listed as the default gateway and DNS server for the LAN clients.

You should see connections on the activity screen in GateKeeper show up as NAT: IP ADDRESS (for connections that are not being intercepted by a proxy).

More information on setting up the NAT connection method can be found in this knowledge base article:

Finnaly i have nat in my wingate

But have you set your client up? To test the NAT connection method, ping our wewbsite.
(Windows) Start menu --> run --> cmd --> ping www.wingate.com

anyway the point of this problem is that i cant understand why icant update my nod32

If you have the NAT connection method set, and you still cannot update:
a) Are you using the WGIC at all? If yes, have you set the NOD32 program to local access?
b) Does the program need any special port mapped from the internet?
c) Does the program still have the proxy settings placed in it; remove it to use NAT.

Finally i found the way to update nod32 when i put the proxy gateway in the local area connection but i think that this is not the right way to do this cause i cant put all the pc this ip address as gateway cause then i think that i have problem with the virus...i mean that the clients will be connect "directly" with the proxy server which has the wingate.....

Do you have intercepts turned on the WWW Proxy Server? Try turning it off for the sake of testing.
GateKeeper --> Services tab --> WWW Proxy Server --> Sessions.

Have you tested the NAT connection method from the client computer?
i.e.
(Windows) Start menu --> run --> cmd --> ping www.google.com

thx!
after i turn it off, it can work
but if i turn it off, will it affect anything to the security?

Hi Syhor7,

The instructions for turning off the WWW Proxy Intercept:
GateKeeper --> Services tab --> WWW Proxy Server --> Sessions.

Will only be a security concern if you are running KAV, and your users do not have proxies set.
