Losing configuration after stopping and restarting engine

Hi,
I am having problems with 6.1.1. I have used several version. I lost a hard drive and reinstalled 6.1.1. After reinstalling, now every time I stop and restart the Wingate engine, I lose my configuration and I have to go through the Admin login procedure again. What am I missing? Never had this problem in earlier versions.

Do you lose all config? Or just changes you made since last time?

there are 2 possible reasons I can think of.

1. Hitting the save button in GateKeeper. .. are you saving changes?

2. Registry permissions. Does WinGate start in the LocalSystem account, or the account it starts in - does it have access to the registry?
