Email server using wingate

Postby WG-newbie » May 03 06 1:13 am

My email stored on ISP and we are using wingate to get from ISP. My question is it possible to redirect on wingate for internal mail? I mean my email to friend next to me not go to isp firtst and back to my friend from isp but when I send to my friend next to through wingate, wingate will redirect directly to my friend email....

Hi

yes, you can do this. Are you using WinGate 6?

Yes, we use wingate 6.1.1 but other question is if someone from outside office send email to me or people in the office can download the email as we store our mailserver on the isp. If the answer yes, could you show me how to do that?

Thanks.

Hi

there's a fairly comprehensive document available at

http://downloads.qbik.com/qbiknz2/downloads/Mail_Server_6_Scenarios_and_Configurations.pdf

which should cover everything you need here.

Hi

We have a document for 5.x as well, but the mail features are greatly reduced.

It's on our support page, click the white papers link.

Hi

Do you have a WinGate 5 license? If you are using an earlier version license in WinGate 5 you won't get the mail features (which were added in WinGate 5).
