Adobe Reader 8 download

Postby pmueller » Jan 11 07 9:45 am

Is anyone else having issues downloading the Adobe Reader 8 program? From anywhere behind Wingate (latest version), it appears the files downloads and then I get a file corrupted and then an error
"You're resuming a download, but the file on the server has changed. Would you like to restart the download process?"

I tried IE6, IE7, Mozilla and tried using download manager with the same results. At home last night with Wingate not in the picture, it downloaded and installed without issue.
Thanks.

Hi

If you're running Kaspersky AV for WinGate, or PureSight, then partial HTTP range requests are blocked.

This is because if we allowed them, then clients could download anything and we couldn't scan it, since we wouldn't get the whole file in any request.

So it sounds like need to add an exclusion to your plugins to stop them scanning certain URLs. Then the plugin will be disabled for that request, and the range request should be allowed.

Regards
