New servers

Two of my clients have decided they want new servers. Both new systems are using WinXP Pro.

Server 1:
The current server is using Wingate latest version. If I install Wingate on the new server, can I then copy the current setup from the old to the new one? If so, which files do I need to copy?


Server 2:
Current server is using Wingate 5.x. How best to transfer the setup to the new server which will have Wingate latest version on it? Or will I have to set it all up from scratch?

For both you can export the WinGate registry and import it on the new system.

Then you can run the upgrade on the 5.x install.

So you're suggesting I install 5.x on the second new server, import the 5.x registry, then upgrade to 6.x?

Yes. That way the 5.x registry will get updated along with the install.
