Yahoo Messenger (high priority)

Postby bradrody » Sep 05 07 11:17 pm

How will I know while looking at History Tab if there are ongoing chat using yahoo and msn (or chat window is open)?

Ongoing chat is different when user is just logged in yahoo or msn.

By the way, we are using Wingate 6.2.2 and WGIC are installed to all clients.

Thanks a lot QBik staff!

The activity in WinGate doesn't look any different between letting Yahoo Messenger idle, or pumping alot of conversation through to different people.

There was one connection to a server on port 5050, and two other connections on port 443. None of the ip addresses were associated with the remote network I used for testing.

From what I have seen, you won't be able to tell if a user is actually talking or not using the activity tab or history log.

I couldn't find any relations between connections made by msn messenger and active conversations either.

thanks a lot logan, I appreciate the info you've given me.

Any reply from Qbik, anything that will enlighten me on the matter?

By the way, I'm a license user so I guess I deserve little attention from you guys.

Pardon me on my 2nd msg, I thought logan was not with Qbik until I received his email.

Thanks Qbik, I'll follow your advice and look for a software to handle my requirements.
