Problem with binding in WWW Proxy Server

Postby Wicked2000 » Dec 20 07 11:20 am

Hello.

I have a problem with Wingate WWW Proxy Server.

In the binding menu you can select what IPs will be bind to the service. I am trying to bind only 2 IPs and uncheck the others even if they are set as internal. When the service is bind to all the internal IPs. It works.
When I am checking only 2 IPs. I can see in the screen above that the service is started to this IPs. I press apply and OK but it doesn't work. I can't surf. I tried everything. Delete and add it again.
It only works if the service is bind to all internal network cards.
I succeeded to set it to the DNS and DHCP without any problem. But it doesn't work for WWW Proxy Server.

Any tips or something to try?
Windows Firewall is disabled.
Wingate 6.22
Thanks

Hi

are you relying on intercepted connections from the WWW proxy, or do the clients connect to the proxy directly?

With intercepted connections, the connection through WinGate is diverted to one of the IP addresses associated with the adapter the connection came in on. Depending on which IP the ENS driver picks (based on route table), then it might pick the wrong address and the incoming connection that is intercepted won't work.
