remote desktop with wingate

Postby amolkuber » May 29 08 9:36 pm

hi,
I use wingate proxy for internet connection on client Pcs in my office. The constant issue now is remote desktoping.
i have 70 clients & 4 proxy servers (wingate) now nearly 10 of them want to connect to remote desktop Pc over internet same time but only 4 can connect at same time. What they have to do is connect server 1st remotely then other remote connetion over internet.
So is there any way with wingate to allow maping services with remote desktop connection.
I have maped tcp service for SQL server on port 1433. so clients in my office can connect database over internet from their Pcs.

yes i think that this happen because they are all try to remote thies PCs over the same port 3389 so you can just permit 4 because you had just 4 proxys there is a method it may help tell the client to change thier remote port from 3389 to any other near 3390, 3391, 3392 like this and forward those ports on your proxy eatch one for it's client i think it will work properly.
Don't forget to tell client to open those ports on thier windows firewall.
