Wingate Engine could not be started

Hi
Im using Windows xp professinal edition. And i installed wingate 5 on that oprating system but the wingate engine could not started and show the msg is " THERE WAS A PROBLEM CONNECTION TO THE SERVER. CONNECTION REFUSED BY SERVER. CHECK YOUR SERVER NAME AND PORT NUMBER. Before this new installtion my wingate run very well but now it shows the problem. In server name "LOCALHOST" and "PORT" is 808. Please tel me how can i resolve this problem.

can you install WinGate 6.2.2?

This problem happened because WinGate 5 is a very old version and you really can't expect the good folks at Qbik to continue supporting it.

If you install version 6.2.2, as Logan asked, you'll be up to date and they will be better able to support you and the problem may be fixed.
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom

WinGate 5 is very old now, you did mention that it was a new installation so why not install the latest version? WinGate 6.2.2 will still work with an older Wingate 5.x license if that is what you were worried about. It would be best if you can install 6.2.2 then if you still have the problem we can go from there.
