Socket error on Citrix connection

I get the following error on an SSL Citrix connection to a server on the internet that uses ports 1494 and 2598.
Error: Socket error in SSLPreProcessRequest Connection to Remote Host timed out - terminating

All other traffic over SSL on port 443 works fine
I've tried disabling the firewall altogether, doesn't make a difference, still hangs with the above error.

Do I need to create a special rule for using SSL over these ports?

The last time I heard of this problem was in 2004. What version of WinGate are you using? If you aren't using the latest version, can you please upgrade to make sure you aren't dealing with a problem that has already been fixed.

Yes running latest version 6.2.2

I've found my answer.
It's not a Wingate issue.
The remote citrix server we connect to didn't have the ProxyType=Auto set on the ica config file that triggers when we connect...
