WWW Proxy server service cannot start in 6.5

Hello:

I upgraded my Win2003 32 bits (vmware virtual machine) from Wingate 6.1.x to 6.5 without a glitch. Everything works great.

My next step is to install it in the physical machine: Windows 2003 release 1 64 bits.

I installed it, rebooted the machine, but the WWW Proxy server cannot start, in "System Messages" tab the error displayed is:

"Service startup complete or partial failure - Check your bindings"

I checked the bindings for the "WWW Proxy Server" service and both the MS TCP Loopback interface and my Local Area Connection
are with Status "error".

Any help?

Check if IIS is running.

If so, it will be holding port 80. Then you would need to either

a) disable IIS
b) run the WWW proxy on another port number

IIS was the problem, I changed the WWW proxy to port to 8080 and upgraded Wingate to build 1203
