Server crashing with qbikhk2k error

Postby saubrey » Apr 07 09 8:01 pm

I'm running Wingate 6.2.2 build 1137 on Win2k server sp4. In the past two days my server has crashed 3 times (for the past 7 years it hardly ever crashed). The minidump file shows qbikhk2k on the stack. I'm not really sure that qbikhk2k is at fault, but it is on the stack. I have the entire minidump file if you want it. FYI: my server has 256 MB RAM of which the two KAVSS.exe consume 242 MB.

Hi

Looks like it's crashing in some memory access - ExFreePoolWithTag is a memory deallocation function.

a 256MB Ram machine with 2 KAV processes on it is really going to struggle. That means any time anything does anything, it will go to swap file.

That minidump file would be very useful thanks. Can you email it to support@qbik.com please?

Thanks

Adrien
