MAY BE THE SAME QUESTIONS but ....

Postby novice » Jan 09 04 3:02 pm

Hello forum Member!

I want to ask some questions related set restriction to for wingate.

- I'm using NAT for sharing and I want to limit Data usage per month (Upload + Download) to specific like 1 GB or 2GB How could I do that?

- By the same configuration (Using NAT), How could I set the whole user to access e-mail only(I have already set some specific IP have right to access to the Internet and some e-mail only) when the data usage meet the specified limit?

Thanks in advance for your kindness help.

If you have the Transparent Redirect turned on then your clients will connect to the internet through the WWW proxy. You can set user rights here so that they can only access the internet while bytes sent to client are less than 1 GB.

If you are using an internal mail server (such as the one supplied with Wingate) then your clients should still be able to access their email after they are denied access to the internet.
