How to "assume user by MAC address"?

In "Assumed Users" there are only 2 ways to recognize the users: "by Name" and "by IP Address".

Is there a way to create user assumption by MAC address?

No, you can only assume by IP or machine name(if Wingate is the DHCP server for your network).

The proxy server isn't low enough on the stack to access the MAC addresses inside packets. The MAC addresses have already been used and stripped off the packet by the time the proxy gets them. For this reason, the proxy cannot natively assume users based on their MAC address.

The way WinGate gets around this is by referring to its DHCP leases. The DHCP lease records the clients computer name, MAC address and the IP address that was leased. When WinGate sees an inbound connection from an IP that it gave a DHCP lease to, it checks the associated lease to find the IP's computer name and MAC address information.
