Moving Servers to new machines/OS should be a FAQ

Postby tmpease » Mar 01 11 12:48 pm

I am moving my WinGate server from one XP machine to another XP machine. I've looked at previous posts but they do not seem definitive.

The online activation dialog says that the license key is already in use.

Is there a way to deactivate the original installation, and thereby "freeing it up"?

IMHO -- This topic and related topics (moving from one platform OS to another) should be in the FAQ, if not in the installed documentation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

agree about the FAQ. I note you've also contacted our support desk about this, so hopefully it's all sorted for you by now?

There was a typo in the email address you entered so you would not have got a reply. I have corrected this and resent the reply via the support site. If you still do not receive it please let us know.
