Restart needed after starting Server 2012

Postby stobby256 » Sep 17 13 11:28 pm

Hi All..

One just niggling problem :)

Turn on my Win 2012 server, running WinGate8. After it boots, I have to then log in, and restart the Wingate engine or nothing can connect... rather niggling as I have a telephone system as well as client PCs on the end of all this.

Once restarted, all is well in the world.

Ideas, anyone?

Hi

sounds like there may be some service start dependency order issue.

We'd need to find out which service is normally starting after WinGate which is needed by WinGate. After that, you can make WinGate depend on another service easily enough.

Possibly some sort of firewall service?

We may need to remotely look at your server to get to the bottom of it. Is that a possibility?

Regards

Indeed thats possible!!

Ill have a look round the services this morning and see what's what. The server is sitting on a bench with no users attached until I iron out the bugs :-)

I think I sussed this one...

QBIK service reconfigured as "Automatic - delayed start". Will investigate tomorrow!
