Bypass Wingate Proxy

Postby ronkit » Feb 26 04 11:11 pm

I am using Wingate proxy in my office.

Now I need to allow my boss to connect to the Internet without entering a proxy address in his Internet Explorer.
How can his web browser bypass the Wingate Proxy?
Or is there any other method that do not involve any cost?

Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks!!!!!

Hi Ron,

The easiest way to do that is to use either WGIC (By installing the WinGate Internet Client on your bosses machine) OR by using ENS.

To use ENS you must have chosen it when you installed WinGate. Then, all you do is set the Default Gateway and DNS Server for your bosses machine to the WinGate Server. (I.e. it's LAN IP address)

If you need to install ENS, a simple upgrade install should allow you to add it.
