hi all
if any one can help me, i have this case :
i have dmain with 30 PC's and 1 Server (windows 2000 server) , i just wanna to know if the wingate work as internal mail server instead of installing MS Exchage (users can olny send and recevied email internally)

Yes WinGate could work as a purely internal mail server. The best way to do this is to leave the default domain as your WinGate machines Computer name, and then add your users to the addresses tab. Ie if the WinGate machine is called Gateway, then you would have email addresses that looked like bob@Gateway, bill@Gateway, sue@Gateway etc. If you then only bind the SMTP server to your internal NIC no one else can access it, and users who try ot send from your LAN out to the internet will be rejected by the far end server because most wont accept the format of the address (no .com or anything on the end). Then just set your LAN clients Outlook (or whatever email client you use) SMTP and POP to the WinGate machines internal IP.
