WinGate 4.3 & Windows 2003 Server

Can anyone tell me if Wingate v4.3 is compatible with Windows 2003 server? All I want to do is share COM ports for modem usage from client PCs.

Hi Amanda

WinGate 4.3 was released prior to the release of Windows 2003 and so has not been implemented for testing for a verified level of compatability.

HOWEVER if it is an ordinary modem connection that you are wanting to share then WinGate 4.3 should handle this fine.

If you have a Full version 4 licence, I would suggest you can upgrade to the latest version of WinGate which has been tested with Win2003.

You wont receive all features available in 5.2.3 (latest version of WinGate). But this should serve your purpose for sharing a modem connection with clients.
